John was raised in Butler County in the 1970's and attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania. During his time there he earned his Master's Degree in Safety Sciences and Bachelor's Degree in Natural Sciences. His professional career started as a Loss Control Representative for an insurance carrier in the late 1990's in Houston, Texas. Over the years he changed positions and worked for several other companies while working his way back to the Pittsburgh area. During that time he gained experience with companies ranging is size from family owned small businesses to Fortune 500 corporations. After 10 years with insurance carriers he crossed the aisle and went to work for the insurance brokerage industry where the work focuses more on client relationships. This view of industry allowed him to realize his real passion is working closely with clients to obtain results rather than just the completion of tasks. Because of this, John decided to join a Consulting Firm where he found the relationships extremely rewarding and the work to be challenging.

John has achieved the designation of Certified Safety Professional (CSP), and Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals. He is a professional member of the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE). John also regularly writes articles for groups such as the Association of Builders and Contractors (ABC) and SMC Business Council. He has also been published in Dynamics Business Magazine and Modern Construction.
